Kindergarten was AWESOME today! I went to school at 7:50 and didn't come home until 3:00! My first words to mom and dad after school were, "I didn't sleep and someone kept trying to kiss me! She tried kissing me at rest and at recess and I had to run away from her and her name was Hannah!" Mom looked a little concerned...I also told mom and dad that I gave my friend my phone number and he told me I could come play at his house after school. He said to just follow the red car and it would take me to his house. I wouldn't leave until I saw "Luke" and showed my mom and dad who he was. He actually lives in my neighborhood a few streets away!! I had homework today and had to fill in the blanks to a story about my first day of kindergarten. I talked about how I felt going to school (happy), what I wore, what I ate for breakfast. It also asked me how I felt when it was time to go home. I said I felt sad because I still wanted to be at school! That made my mom a little sad, but even more happy that I loved kindergarten so much and can't wait until tomorrow! Hope all my other friends who started school had as good of a day as I did!

What an AWESOME time we had with our cousins last week! We spent the majority of the week swimming and just hanging out! We didn't need to do anything else! We did manage a trip to Chuck e Cheese, a movie, and the outlet mall! Kolby was finally old enough to really play and enjoy all the fun! Addison was a little mother to him, trying to give him his paci ALL the time, and retrieving his blankie and paci out of bed if he couldn't reach it! She also got a taste of her own medicine in the car! Caden no longer sits by Addison because she would constantly touch him or put her blanket on him just to annoy him. Well, Kolby enjoyed doing the same to her, but she didn't like being on the other end of the game! :0) We always hate to see our cousins leave and look forward to the next visit when our baby brother will be here!
Now...Addison is potty trained! Two years three months and she has done it herself! I no longer put a pull up on her when we go shopping or run errands. She only wears them when she sleeps! She will go "all by herself" and bring me her panties to put back on her. I am amazed at how well she is doing and am so proud of her. The other night she had some "tummy issues" and literally went to the bathroom 8-9 times in 3 hours! She made it to the potty EVERY TIME with no accidents! I'd have to say she has it down after that night!
Caden has moved to a big boy seat in the car and LOVES it! He is signed up for soccer this fall and is very excited to play again. We are hoping by putting him in the 4 year old league with referees it will be more structured and he will participate in games this year, not just the practices! Chase starts kindergarten in 19 DAYS! 35 hours a week that he will be away from me! He can't wait, but mom is trying to prepare herself not to be "that parent!" I just pray he gets a nice teacher! He also has the countdown to the olympics giong...he is such a sports kid. He is signed up for soccer and flag football in the fall! We are going to be very busy with two soccer teams and one football team and the countdown to baby! I'm not sure what we are thinking...what we will do for our kids! Be sure to check out all the pictures from the Henderlong visit!Comments:Add a comment:

I almost forgot...my child who is scared of the lake (doesn't want to go on jet ski's, won't swim in the lake, nothing) made a complete turn-around this weekend! He is loving jet-skis, jumping off the jet-ski's and the pier into the lake and swimming all around, and on top of that is tubing behind the jet ski with just friends! Boy has Caden grown up!! On the other hand, he has decided that he can no longer swim! He won't swim without goggles, he never would. Well, apparently last week his goggles pulled his hair, so now he won't wear goggles! Which means he does a whole doggie paddle swim which is just about to drive me crazy! He got a haircut today and I told him, "Great news! You got a haircut so now your goggles won't pull your hair anymore!" He said, "Yep, it's good now. I can wear them and swim, but if it pulls my hair again, then I won't be able to wear them again!" What a stinker. Hopefully I will be putting an update on here in a couple days letting you all know this has passed and I have my little fish back!

What a surprise we got this week! We came home from a movie Wednesday morning to find our crazy cousins from Indiana swimming in our swimming pool! We had the BEST time with them this week! We swam, went to a spray park, got ice cream, had a crawfish boil, went jet-skiing, jumped off a dock and swam in the lake, and just hung out! Everyone got along so well! Chase, Caden, and Layla were best buddies. Layla and Addison were best buddies! Addison and Kaptur were best buddies! We sure are going to be lost tomorrow without them! We miss them already!

A few updates on the boys accomplishments! Caden FINALLY decided he would try to ride a big boy bike with training wheels and just took off! Of course he feels like a big kid now. Chase, as you can see in the video, has taken up wakeboarding! I swear he thinks he is 10 when he is only 5! He got up his second try for a few seconds, but the water was so rough with so many boats for 4th of July. We need to get him out there during the week. He also took up jumping off a second story platform on a pontoon boat into the lake this last weekend! He had a blast! Aunt Cole bought the boys guitar hero for a wedding party gift, which Mom originally thought was WAY too hard since it is rated T for teenagers. Well, Chase is now able to beat all the songs on the first level, while singing and dancing! Mom can't even do it! He is so determined in everything he does, I don't think there is anything he will not be able to do if he puts his mind to it! Addison is speaking more and more each day! There are many times I wish I had a zipper I could install to get her to stop sometimes! All the kids are so excited about their baby brother! They kiss and rub my belly daily, on their own! We are so lucky!

We are back from a quick trip to Indiana, but we sure packed in some big fun! Aunt Cole got married and we were all in the wedding! And if you can believe it, we ALL walked down the aisle! Addison covered her eyes so noone could see her, but she walked and looked adorable, thanks to her cousin Layla holding her hand! The boys whizzed down the aisle ringing their bells...too cute! Aunt Cole looked beautiful of course! The rest of the time we had our normal cousin fun! We caught frogs, played outside, put on a show, went to the park, had a picnic, played Chase with our new Uncle John, had a sleepover, and played outside some more! Our family is growing so big...dinners consists of 18 people, and that is just our immediate family!! We keep waiting for the magic number where Gammy starts renting a hall for family get togethers and no longer lets us all in her house! Needless to say, we had a blast and are hoping that all our Indiana family can make a trip to Texas this summer and hang out in the pool with us! Congratulations Aunt Cole and Uncle John!

It is official...Mommy and Daddy will be living with three boys and one princess!! Mommy's baby is a boy! We are so excited...although Ms. Debi next door said she thinks her value of her house just went down! She is scared she is living next to three little pranksters (little Darrens) and one spoiled rotten princess! She is not sure which she is more scared of...the three pranksters or the one princess! Mommy has decided she will quit trying to push her little girl off her and keep her as close as she can...she thinks her and Addison need to stick together! She also decided that her and Addison might take day trips on April Fools Day because our house might be a little too dangerous! :0) We are so blessed...Addison will be one protected little girl and the boys are already the best big brothers ever! It was funny that Chase wanted a baby girl and Caden wanted a baby boy. Looking at the boys relationship with Addison it makes sense! Chase adores Addison and Addison truly knows how to push Caden's buttons! They are too much alike! :0) All the kids are thrilled and are constantly rubbing my belly and talking to their baby brother! We are looking forward to meeting him in October!

Chase had an awesome birthday party today! He invited some school and soccer friends to an indoor sports complex where they played flag football and dodgeball! It was so cute because when they would split for teams, everyone wanted to be on Chase's team! It got a little rough if you ask me, but I was informed that it was a "boy's party!" They had a blast! Chase scored a touchdown and then was slammed into a wall, broke free and jumped up to celebrate, where he was tackled by his team in celebration! He got lots of really cool gifts and had a blast!

It is official! Chase is no longer a preschooler. He had his graduation ceremonies today and they were great! They sang probably six or so songs, groups of 3 went up and recited a bible verse they memorized, had an alphabet parade, watched a slideshow of the graduating kids growing up, and received their diplomas. TOO CUTE! Be sure to check out the videos and pictures of the boys with their friends.

Words can't describe how much fun we had in Florida! The kids absolutely had the best time on the beach! The boys lived in the waves and Addison spent more time digging in the sand, but the last couple days loved the waves as well! The boys became fish again in the pool and can't wait to be able to swim everyday this summer! Aunt Kristie and Uncle Danny's wedding was beautiful! The kids did so well in the wedding and had a blast dancing at the reception! The only downfall was great-grandma spent the entire vacation in the hospital! She flew in Wednesday afternoon and was on the way to the hopital Thursday morning. Her entrie leg was one big blood clot! The sad part is she missed the wedding and all the festivities, but on the bright side she is OKAY! She is out of the hospital and on her way back to Ohio as I type! The kids really missed having her there with us. Now, onto a sad note for Mom...her baby is FIVE YEARS OLD! Boy does time fly...next year Chase will be in Kindergarten all day, everyday! He can't wait, but Mom wouldn't mind if this growing up would slow down a bit! Be sure to check out all the new pictures and videos from our trip!
